Assignment Concluded at Chesterford Research Park
Carter Jonas has played an instrumental role in disposing of one of the last remaining substantial office buildings existing in the Cambridge market with demand continuing to grow.
Demand for Grade A, sizeable office accommodation remains in and around the Cambridge area, confirms Carter Jonas with agent and surveyor Steven Harvey pointing to the conclusion of negotiations to assign the lease of The Pembroke Building at Chesterford Research Park as proof.
The lease, with a remainder of nine years, has been assigned to Illumina, the genetics analysis company, who are already based at the Park and are taking on the 13,315 sq ft Pembroke Building as additional accommodation.
Carter Jonas acted on behalf of Japanese biopharmaceutical corporate Sosei whose UK R&D operation was headquartered in Pembroke House.
"I was very satisfied with the services provided by Steven Harvey at Carter Jonas. They were very professional and I always felt they put the client’s interest first. This project was very difficult for Carter Jonas to manage as the property and future Tenant were in Cambridge but both parties parent company were based in Tokyo and the U.S.A. respectively. However, Carter Jonas managed to close the deal within our budget and timeline. Again, thank you and your team for all the hard work to get this deal done."
