Leading Light Joins Technology Team
One of the founding fathers of the Cambridge Phenomenon has become a consultant to Carter Jonas' Technology Team, which specialises in science parks and research & development facilities.
On retiring, after 18 years, from his position as managing director of the influential St John’s Innovation Centre at the end of last year (2008), Walter Herriot has taken on positions with select businesses in the region as well as retaining roles in influential organisations such as Enterprise East, which he chairs, and the East of England Development Agency where remains ‘Innovation and Enterprise Champion’.
For Carter Jonas, Walter will be working within the firm’s Technology Team which operates out of the Cambridge office and advises a list of technology companies, from start-up to corporates, on a range of property matters.
The Technology Team also works on special projects which include, locally, Butterfield in Luton, Chesterford Research Park, Melbourn Science Park and the University of Essex Research Park.

Nick is a Partner of Carter Jonas dealing with asset management on behalf of institutional and private clients. His team will deal with property management, lease renewals and valuations and includes identification and implementation of development or redevelopment opportunities. Nick has a particular interest in Science Parks and Innovation Centres as generators of new business. Outside of work, Nick runs a small suckler herd of 19 cows.
