Andrew is a Partner, based in Peterborough and operates throughout the country. He heads the Carter Jonas Energy and Marine Team which deals with a wide range of renewable energy schemes, including wind energy, solar pv, hydro power, anaerobic digestion plants, biomass plants and coal bed methane projects.

The services provided in the energy sector include site referencing and transmission matters, site search and evaluation, feasibility studies, financial modelling, planning applications and site consents, landowner support and site promotion, valuations, finance, site acquisitions and disposals, wayleave negotiations and feedstock procurement.

The Marine team manage a significant coastal portfolio around England through leases, licences, easements and consents. Activities within the area are varied and cover a wide range of issues such as port developments, marinas, moorings, jetties, cable and pipeline river crossings, outfalls and regulating and conservation leases and stakeholder liaison.

Away from work, Andrew is keen on fieldsports.

Nick is an Energy Specialist based in the east of the country. He provides advice on renewable energy developments, with a particular emphasis on wind energy and solar schemes. His work includes conducting feasibility studies, undertaking site acquisitions, negotiating option and lease arrangements as well as undertaking financial analyses and valuations, acting for private, institutional and commercial clients within the energy sector. He also takes an active role in conducting CJ research projects, co-authoring the firms Energy Index. Away from work Nick is a keen skier and rugby player.

Paul is a Partner and Head of the Minerals and Waste Management Division providing specialist advice throughout the UK on all matters relating to minerals and waste management developments. In particular, he offers advice on strategic development appraisal, site acquisition and disposal, planning and valuation on behalf of both operators / manufacturers and private landowning clients. He sits on the CBI Minerals Group and both the British Ceramic Confederation Rating panel and land and property group, representing clients interests and assisting in lobbying on policy affecting the sector. In his spare time, Paul enjoys long distance and hill walking, and recently led a Carter Jonas team on a 40 mile trek across the North Yorkshire Moors for charity. To relax, he enjoys watching Lancashire County Cricket Club, where he is a member.

Edmund is a Partner, based in Bangor and is one of the Western Representatives of the Carter Jonas Energy Team. He advises a number of private, corporate and institutional clients upon a range of energy scheme projects and technologies, including wind energy developments both on a commercial scale and micro generation schemes; anaerobic digestion, hydro and biomass projects.

The Western Region specialises in hydroelectric projects (HEP) and has specific expertise and training in LowFlows software which facilitates the means of providing bespoke un-gauged flow data within feasibility studies on any particular site in the United Kingdom. In this regard the team also has good experience in dealing with the Environment Agency (EA) on licensing, and the Local Planning Authority where planning consent is required.

Edmund has experience in advising in an expert capacity on valuations of renewable schemes and has presented on Anaerobic Digestion Opportunities in Wales in Cardiff alongside Jane Davidson, the Minister for Environmental Sustainability and Housing.

Amy is a Senior Environmental Planning Specialist in the Energy team, based in Harrogate. Charles is based in Yorkshire, advising private, institutional and corporate clients on a range of renewable energy schemes across the north of England. He provides specific advice on the feasibility of wind and anaerobic digestion projects, site acquisitions, negotiating option and lease, joint venture and access agreements, undertaking financial analyses and valuations.

Charles also manages a significant marine estate in the north east of England dealing with all manner of landlord and tenant related matters in relation to port developments, jetties, cables, pipelines, bridges and outfalls.

Outside of work, Charles is a keen cricketer who also enjoys golf and country pursuits.

Thomas is based in Wells in the south west of England and advises clients throughout the area on rural estate management, valuation and general professional matters. He specialises in renewable energy projects including solar pv parks and rooftop schemes, biomass projects and wind energy projects both in terms of commercial farms and medium scale projects under the Feed-in Tariff.

In his spare time when work and his young family permits, he is a keen horseman and tends his vegetable garden in the early hours of the morning.
