Richard is a partner and heads the firm’s Valuation Team. He acts for private
clients, companies, solicitors, charities, housing associations and banks in property matters mainly relating to residential and development property from flats to large country estates and development land in central southern England. He prepares valuation and survey reports and has particular experience in acting as an expert witness in litigation matters and has given evidence in court and at the lands tribunal on several occasions. His experience also includes advising on restrictive covenants and leasehold extension and enfranchisement. Richard is a keen cyclist and enjoys the countryside.

Jeremy is a Partner based in our Rural Team in Cambridge. He advises private and institutional clients on a diverse range of rural asset management matters as well as undertaking valuations of rural, agricultural and equestrian properties. In addition to his management and professional work he is heavily involved with rural property agency throughout the east of England. He has a particular interest in dispute resolution and is one of only a few rural practice chartered surveyors who have obtained Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Jeremy has a hectic home life with four young daughters but retreats to the river bank whenever possible to pursue his passion for fly fishing and for some peace and quiet!

Steven is a Partner based in our Rural Team in Oxford. He advises private and institutional clients on a diverse range of rural asset management matters as well as undertaking valuations of rural, agricultural and equestrian properties and is a Member of the Valuation Panel of the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation. He is regularly involved in dispute resolution and is on the RICS panel of Expert Witnesses. He is one of only a few rural practice chartered surveyors qualified as an accredited mediator. He is an external examiner at the Royal Agricultural College and is a published author on the subject of expert witness work. In his spare time, Steven competes in occasional triathlons.

Mark is a Partner in the firm’s Rural Division based in Shrewsbury. He has over 35 years experience of providing rural advice to clients and specialises in rural asset management with particular emphasis on rural diversification, rural planning consultancy and development work, land and property valuations, sales and purchasers of farms, farmland and country houses. Mark mainly advises private landowners and has undertaken the sale and purchase of a number of agricultural estates and fine country houses over the years. Outside work, Mark is a keen walker and also enjoys skiing and National Hunt racing, being a member of a successful syndicate. He gets his adrenalin rush from hill climbing and sprinting his BMW Mini Cooper S “Works” and a 1967 green MGB.

Paul is an Associate and chartered minerals surveyor/chartered environmentalist specialising in the valuation of mineral and waste management assets, negotiation and management of leases and licences, resource appraisal, acquisitions and disposals of property interests and advising on general planning issues. Whilst based in Shrewsbury, Paul operates throughout the entire UK and has extensive experience of acting on behalf of both private and corporate clients in respect of minerals and waste matters. Outside of work, Paul indulges himself through a passion for music. In addition to having played the electric guitar for over 15 years, he has recently realised a life long passion having learned to play the drums. To compliment his playing aspirations, Paul is also enrolled as a student of music production and technology.

Andrew is based in York heading the Rural Team and being responsible for The Crown Estate's Yorkshire rural estates. He is also a leading Agent and Valuer for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC) providing advice on farm finance throughout Yorkshire. He has wide experience in the sales and purchases of all types of rural property ranging from large landed estates to small pony paddocks, and handles all property auctions within the region. He also provides valuations for lending purposes and dispute resolution. Andrew enjoys walking his two English Setters, playing golf and cricket, country sports, skiing and has just taken up scuba diving.
