Tim is head of the firm's Rural Division and of the Cambridge office, although he spends a considerable amount of time in London. He has over 20 years experience in advising institutional and private clients on a very wide range of rural business issues, including sales and purchases, strategic advice and valuations. He often works with specialists in other divisions of the firm to provide clients with a fully integrated property service. Tim lives near Newmarket and has a keen interest in country pursuits, encouraged constantly by his two children.

Richard is a Partner and head of Carter Jonas' Residential Division. Based in Cambridge and London, Richard advises private clients in the sale, management and letting of high value residential property in the eastern counties and advises high quality house builders on the feasibility and marketing of developments. Richard is a keen sailor and enjoys all types of water sports. Out of sailing season interests include country pursuits, vintage farm machinery and classic cars, skiing and property restoration. Historic buildings and architecture is an interest which has grown over the past 30 years in the property profession.
Will Mooney is a Partner based in Cambridge. He has over 27 years experience of the agency, investment, acquisition and development markets in this region and nationally. He specialises in the office, business and science park, hotel, retail and leisure sectors. Will provides strategic advice to many institutional, national and international clients, including ARM Holdings, The Downing College, Development Securities, Carisbrooke, University of Essex, Goodman, Greene King and Travelodge.
Ben is a Partner working across all aspects of agency, investment and development. He acts for a diverse range of national and institutional clients including The Crown Estate, East Cambridgeshire District Council and Carisbrooke amongst others.
Ben focuses on business development and operational activities of the commercial business on a national basis.
Mark is a Partner, based at Cambridge, who advises institutional and college clients in the valuation, sale or acquisition of residential property including development land and appraisals. He specialises in leasehold reform act work, and in educational properties or student accommodation. He also provides a consultancy service or expert witness reports on various matters including restrictive covenants and for planning purposes, viability. In his spare time Mark particularly sailing and hill walking.
Stuart is a Partner in the Residential Team in the Cambridge office, heading residential sales. Qualifying originally as a chartered surveyor within a rural practice, he now advises particularly on the sale of period and individual homes in Cambridge and the surrounding area. Stuart is RICS spokesman for Cambridgeshire and sits on the Institution's Policy and Communications Group for the East of England. His interests outside work lie predominantly in sport. He is a keen cricketer, enthusiastic to improve at golf and is actively involved in a management role at Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club.
Michael advises landowners and developers on the acquisition and disposal of greenfield and brownfield development land for both immediate use and as part of a longer term strategic land bank. He project manages consultants and development teams to assist in securing delivery of strategic sites including landowner agreements and third party land ownership issues. Michael is married with three teenage children and his interests include whatever the children are up to as well as travel and most sports in particular rugby and swimming. Michael regularly participates in long distance open water swimming events.
Alec is a partner based in the rural team in the Cambridge office.He has many years experience in dealing with the management of rural estates and allied professional work for private landowners.Besides property matters his work also covers the farming and estate businesses of clients along with single payment and agri-environment schemes.He has a keen interest in the English countryside and is increasingly fascinated by the history of its landscapes.
Richard is Head of Planning across Carter Jonas' eastern region. His planning expertise covers residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, with involvement in the submission and delivery of major planning applications, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preparation, site appraisals, planning appeals and site promotions through the Local Development Framework (LDF) process. Outside work, Richard shares his time between friends, family and sport. He enjoys music gigs, the great outdoors, cinema and real ale. He plays football, supports Liverpool, and is a poor but persistent golfer.
Bridgit specialises in private client residential management and letting, advising owners on rental values, marketing and management of houses and apartments.
James is based in the Commercial Team in Cambridge. With over 10 years commercial property experience, James advises property companies, developers and landlords on the acquisition, disposal and development of commercial property throughout the UK specializing in retail and leisure before joining Carter Jonas in November 2012.
James’ previous experience includes responsibility for running rent appraisals and leasing major retail led schemes including Trinity Leeds; Southgate, Bath; The Oracle Reading; Highcross, Leicester; The Centre, Livingston; Westgate Stevenage and The Lanes, Carlisle.
James also represents tenants acquiring shops, restaurants and leisure property.
Outside of work, much of James’ time is taken up with his 2 young children and his interests include most sports, particularly from the side lines!
Duncan is a member of the Landlord and Tenant team and is based in the Cambridge office. He specialises in the provision of professional advice on landlord and tenant matters, in particular rent reviews, lease renewals, rating and lease restructuring. He also undertakes commercial property valuations on all types of commercial property for various clients including lending institutions, public bodies and private clients. Outside work, when time allows Duncan can be found on the water involved in sailing, hacking his way around the golf course or trying to stem the process of older age by playing football with mixed success.
Steven is an Associate in the Cambridge Commercial Team. Steven is an experienced commercial property agent, who represents and advises property companies, property developers, landowners and landlords on the acquisition, disposal and development of commercial property in the Eastern region. Outside of work, Steven shares his time with friends and family. He enjoys music, film and travel as well as most sports, in particular football and playing golf.
Nick is a Consultant at Carter Jonas dealing with asset management on behalf of institutional and private clients. He deals with property management, lease renewals and valuations and together with the identification and implementation of development or redevelopment opportunities. Nick has a particular interest in Science Parks and Innovation Centres as generators of new business. Outside of work, Nick runs a small suckler herd of 19 cows.
Kate is an Associate Planner in the Cambridge Office. As a Member of the RTPI for over 20 years, she is well-placed to provide planning advice on a wide range of development types and sizes. She has specific expertise in the processes and issues involved in development of new communities and in working creatively with a range of parties to secure planning permissions.
