Ralph is a Partner in the firm’s Rural Division and is head of the Shrewsbury Office. Ralph advises mainly private clients in mid and North Wales as well as in Shropshire on a range of rural property matters especially those relating to landlord and tenant, settlements and capital taxation. He is instrumental in energising traditional estates and their redevelopment as thriving rural enterprises. Ralph is a keen field sportsman and takes enormous pleasure from days following hounds and rough shooting, his great delight is in seeing his children becoming more able at both.
Head of Minerals and Waste Management Division
Paul is a Partner and Head of the Minerals and Waste Management Division providing specialist advice throughout the UK on all matters relating to minerals and waste management developments. In particular, he offers advice on strategic development appraisal, site acquisition and disposal, planning and valuation on behalf of both operators / manufacturers and private landowning clients. He sits on the CBI Minerals Group and both the British Ceramic Confederation Rating panel and land and property group, representing clients interests and assisting in lobbying on policy affecting the sector. In his spare time, Paul enjoys long distance and hill walking, and recently led a Carter Jonas team on a 40 mile trek across the North Yorkshire Moors for charity. To relax, he enjoys watching Lancashire County Cricket Club, where he is a member.
Philip is a Partner, based in the Shrewsbury office, specialising in capital taxation, succession planning and heritage matters, as well as private estate management and strategic estate planning. Outside work he enjoys country sports, reading, and being involved in local community matters.
Paul is an Associate and chartered minerals surveyor/chartered environmentalist specialising in the valuation of mineral and waste management assets, negotiation and management of leases and licences, resource appraisal, acquisitions and disposals of property interests and advising on general planning issues. Whilst based in Shrewsbury, Paul operates throughout the entire UK and has extensive experience of acting on behalf of both private and corporate clients in respect of minerals and waste matters. Outside of work, Paul indulges himself through a passion for music. In addition to having played the electric guitar for over 15 years, he has recently realised a life long passion having learned to play the drums. To compliment his playing aspirations, Paul is also enrolled as a student of music production and technology.
Head of Client Accounting
Caroline is a qualified chartered accountant having joined the firm from a regional firm of Chartered Accountants where she was employed as an auditor. Caroline is responsible for managing private clients’ accounts held by Carter Jonas. As part of this function she prepares annual estate accounts for submission to the clients’ tax advisors, prepares monthly management accounts and undertakes all aspects of cash management. Outside of work, Caroline enjoy tennis, running, snowboarding and any other outdoor activity as well as cooking and gardening.
CAD and Mapping Technician
Rob is head of the mapping department in our Shrewsbury office. He provides mapping and advice for Carter Jonas and our clients. He originally trained as a furniture designer, so enjoys knocking out the odd chair and fixing things around the house.
Planning and Development Surveyor
Charlene is a Planning and Development Surveyor based in Shrewsbury and advises a wide range of clients across Shropshire, Cheshire, Powys and North Wales on matters relating to individual planning proposals and long term strategic promotion of land for development. She has expertise in rural, residential and commercial development projects, advising private estates, farmers, commercial property owners and developers.
Mary is a Minerals Surveyor in our Shrewsbury office.
Victoria is a Rural Surveyor based in the Shrewsbury office advising clients over a large area of the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire countryside and into Wales. Victoria is the western region Farm Agency contact as well as doing management work and valuations for a diverse portfolio of clients including private and institutional. In her spare time Victoria enjoys country pursuits and walks with her Labrador when not wedding planning.
