He handles the sale of a wide variety of property throughout the Yorkshire area with particular expertise in the sale of individual country and period houses, town houses and apartments in Harrogate as well as new developments. Tony has been with Carter Jonas since 1996 and has over 20 years experience in the industry. Away from the office, Tony is married and has 2 daughters. Much of his spare time is spent supporting and encouraging them on the hockey and football pitches. Tony also has a passion for sport himself having played rugby and cricket to a competitive level - unfortuntaly injuries and age have got the better of his playing days and his involvement now rests very much on the sidelines!

Tom is a Partner advising private and institutional clients on all aspects of rural property management specialising in strategic planning in respect of development, succession planning, purchases and sales, and estate reorganisation. Tom runs his own farm and is passionate about all country pursuits.
David is a Partner and head of the Planning Team in the firm's Harrogate office. David advises a wide range of clients across the north of England on matters relating to individual planning proposals and strategic promotion of land for development as part of the Local Plan process. He has specific expertise in rural and residential development projects, advising charitable trusts, private estates, developer as well as land owning clients in strategies to maximise development potential and land value. He is also has significant experience with heritage projects, effecting listed buildings and other ‘heritage assets’, being an Affiliate Member of The Institute of Historic Building Conservation. Amongst other sporting exploits David is a keen cyclist and has recently taken on the frustrations of golf following his retirement from the football field where he coached young children in the art of 'the beautiful game' in the Teesside League for over 10 years.
John advises clients throughout the UK on a wide range of development proposals. In particular on development proposals particularly in rural areas, estate diversification, leisure projects, hotels, commercial developments, close care retirement communities, alternative energy projects and educational establishments. John is experienced in strategic promotion of land and buildings though the planning system and is an expert witness at planning inquiries and development plan examinations. Outside of work, John spends his spare time with his family and indulges his keenness for old aeroplanes and land rovers.
Paul is an Associate, based in Harrogate, advising and representing clients on strategic and planning policy matters, including the promotion of land through the regional and local planning processes, implementation and delivery strategies. He has particular expertise on sequential issues, development appraisal and the environmental impact assessment of residential, leisure and tourism, retail, mixed use, infrastructure and renewable energy schemes. Paul's interests include cycling, hill walking, travel and building restoration; a current project being a 400 year old cottage.
Amy is an Associate in the Energy team, based in Harrogate. She specialises in renewable energy developments advising on feasibility, planning and project delivery with particular expertise in medium scale and commercial wind for landowners and developers. Advises on and manages Feed-In Tariff scale wind turbine projects from feasibility through to installation and accreditation.
Sam is an Associate, based in Harrogate and is responsible for the land and farm sales throughout the north of England. He also undertakes rural professional work including Valuations of all types of rural property and assets for a variety of purposes including secured lending, strategic planning and taxation and is also involved with landlord and tenant work. Away from the office, Sam is keen on all sports, in particular Rugby and skiing and is passionate about field sports and rural affairs.
Kate is based in our Harrogate office and has experience in a wide variety of planning matters, involving applications for renewable energy developments, housing schemes, rural enterprises, agricultural and rural building conversions, changes of use of buildings, Certificates of Lawful Development, Listed Building Consent and Conservation Area Consent applications. She advises clients through Estate Appraisals to identify sites and buildings with development potential and an appropriate strategy to realise this in the short, medium and long term. This involves land and buildings in urban, rural and Green Belt areas.
Head of Town Sales
Harlan is Head of Town Sales, based in Harrogate. He specialises in the sale of Harrogate Town Centre properties to offer a bespoke service to satisfy the markets demand. Harlan is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with over 10 years’ of property experience and has been with Carter Jonas since 2015. Away from the office, Harlan enjoys a variety of sports and has a passion for cars.
Alistair is Senior Residential Valuer in the Residential Agency Team based in the Harrogate office, where he handles property appraisals and client care, specialising in village and country property. He has a wide range of property industry experience, having worked across finance, insurance, facilities management and estate agency for a range of regional and national firms over the last decade, performing a variety of duties from business development and client care through to contract appraisal and negotiation. Away from the office, Alistair is married and has two young children who keep him very busy! He is involved significantly in his local church and is also a keen sportsman, playing competitive cricket and golf on a regular basis.

Based at the Leeds office, Ian has practiced in Yorkshire for many years, concentrating on residential development and new homes, advising a wide range of landowners and developers through the process of site identification and promotion, valuation and marketing. Ian is an inveterate traveller, avid reader and claims to have reached the regional finals of The Times crossword competition on no less than nine occasions.

John is the Partner in charge of the firm's Leeds office and provides commercial property advice to a wide range of plcs, private organisations and private landlords/tenants. He has specific expertise in the development and investment sector and also office and industrial agency. Outside of work, John enjoys golf, football, walking, ski-ing and live music.

Sarah is the first port of call for any lettings enquiries and takes all tenants through from making their viewing appointments, offers, Tenancy Agreements, deposits and Schedules of Condition.
Senior Energy Specialist
James is a senior energy specialist with over 8 years experience in providing technical leadership of energy projects as both project manager and consultant. James has an MA with Merit in Environment and Business from the University of Leeds, and various energy qualifications. James is responsible for developing a range of renewable energy projects, from planning through to installation. This includes undertaking feasibility studies and investment appraisals, screening and scoping, tendering suppliers and negotiating contracts. James has a particular focus on, and experience in, biomass woodfuel and anaerobic digestion projects.
Clare is based in Harrogate and assists with the renewable energy development projects (including medium wind, solar, hydro and biomass), from initial feasibility through planning and project managing the process, to install.
