IT Director

Peterborough

Carter Jonas, one of the leading firms of national property consultancy professionals, is seeking an IT Director to lead our IT Department and develop the Firms’ IT strategy. The post will be based in our Peterborough office.

Working for a Partnership, the IT Director’s principal goals are to oversee and proactively manage the day-to-day operation of the IT Department and the firm’s IT systems, develop and manage an application portfolio for the firm, and attain agreed firm-wide and departmental IT service level agreements to ensure appropriate levels of availability and service to the business.

You will be responsible for:

- Creating, planning and delivering the IT Strategy, reporting directly to the Management Board

- Establishing and managing the budgets for IT infrastructures and projects; working cost effectively to generate high level support tools.

- Developing and maintaining positive relations across the Firm and with external suppliers and partners

- Identifying and analysing new technologies and projects and making recommendations as appropriate; ensuring compatibility across all systems

- Working closely with the HR and the IT Trainers, to analyse and assist in the delivery of business training needs

- Ensuring systems and equipment are effectively maintained offering continuous improvements to customer service

- Managing and negotiating with external contractors including mobile phones

You will have strong experience in strategic and operational management and information systems.  You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with an ICT / technology emphasis and be able to communicate at all levels with excellent written and verbal skills.  Experience of managing change and leading and developing a diverse team of technical and support staff is essential.  You will be able to prioritise and manage expectations whilst maintaining all agreed deliverables.  Ideally you will have worked in a professional services environment and understand the demands and requirements of individuals within a Partnership from an IT Department.

Residential Sales Administrator

Working within a team environment, this post requires a candidate who is able to manage the administration work behind a busy residential sales team, including maintaining client relationships, speaking with prospective purchasers, arranging viewings, typing and organising reports and ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism.

The successful candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft office, strong administrative and organisational skills and have the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of Reapit would be an advantage and experience of database management is desirable.

RURAL SURVEYOR

YORKSHIRE

Carter Jonas, one of the leading firms of National Property Consultants, is seeking to recruit a Rural Surveyor to work within the expanding Yorkshire Team.  The successful applicant will be involved in the sales and letting of rural estates and farms, estate management and a wide range of professional matters including valuations for secured lending purposes throughout Yorkshire.

You will be ideally 2-3 years qualified and preferably a member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, with a sound knowledge of agriculture and rural affairs and enjoy working within a young and dynamic team.  You will be able to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.

You will be given every opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop your client base with a view to progressing further within the firm.

The position will be based in either Harrogate or York. 

LETTINGS NEGOTIATOR

NEWBURY

Full Time Position
Monday – Friday (Saturdays on a rota basis)
9am – 5.30pm

A continued expansion of business means that Carter Jonas LLP, one of the leading firms of national Chartered Surveyors and property professionals, is now seeking a Lettings Negotiator.

The role will be largely focused on rentals within Newbury town and the successful candidate will be required to conduct appraisals and secure new instructions as well as negotiate rentals.

Whilst not essential, experience and a proven track record of rentals in Newbury will be advantageous. You should be well presented, highly organised and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone with real drive and enthusiasm for the role.

Due to the continued expansion of the New Homes Sales Team Carter Jonas, one of the leading firms of national property consultancy professionals is seeking a New Homes Negotiator to work on a forthcoming new homes development in Pewsey, Wiltshire.

This is a full time opportunity for someone who has relevant new homes experience.  The position will involve liaising with purchasers and the house builder to maintain a high quality site sales and marketing service.

The successful candidate will be self motivated, commercially astute, adaptable, and enthusiastic to support the business growth. Experience in a similar role is essential as this is a standalone role.
