Planning Appointments for Energy Team
Clive Fagg and Victoria Maynard, two environmental planning specialists, have joined Carter Jonas' dedicated Energy Team.
Based in the firm's Harrogate office, both Clive and Victoria have previously worked for specialist environmental consultants Enviros, where they were members of the Sustainable Development & Regeneration Team.
At Carter Jonas, Clive and Victoria will be working on a range of planning matters including on-site energy generation and commercial scale renewable energy developments. They will also be working with local planning authorities to develop an evidence base for renewable energy policies and sustainable developments.
Clive has an environmental planning background, with considerable experience in renewable energy projects. He has undertaken a significant number of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for energy-related developments and has extensive experience of working with wind energy developers. He has also advised both the UK and Scottish Governments on developing planning policy for renewable energy developments.
Victoria is an Environmental Planning Consultant, well-versed in energy-related developments, with specific focus on planning and EIAs. She has been actively involved in a variety of projects, including large-scale planning applications, requiring an EIA. This recently included project managing the planning application for an 8-turbine wind farm project.

Andrew is a Partner, based in Peterborough and operates throughout the country. He heads the Carter Jonas Energy and Marine Team which deals with a wide range of renewable energy schemes, including wind energy, solar pv, hydro power, anaerobic digestion plants, biomass plants and coal bed methane projects.
The services provided in the energy sector include site referencing and transmission matters, site search and evaluation, feasibility studies, financial modelling, planning applications and site consents, landowner support and site promotion, valuations, finance, site acquisitions and disposals, wayleave negotiations and feedstock procurement.
The Marine team manage a significant coastal portfolio around England through leases, licences, easements and consents. Activities within the area are varied and cover a wide range of issues such as port developments, marinas, moorings, jetties, cable and pipeline river crossings, outfalls and regulating and conservation leases and stakeholder liaison.
Away from work, Andrew is keen on fieldsports.
