Carter Jonas identified a new European headquarters site in Haddenham which exceeded the client’s brief and reduced potential costs due to our Team’s detailed local knowledge.Our client, Skyhawke Technologies, wanted premises for its European headquarters. The site needed to be in Oxfordshire, and there was capital available to ensure the building would have high office content as well as warehousing.

Research showed that nothing suitable was readily available on the market, but Carter Jonas used its local knowledge to identify potential sites that were ‘off market’. After making approaches and carrying out the negotiations, premises at Haddenham Business Park near Thame in Oxfordshire emerged as the perfect option. The firm’s Building Surveying Team carried out a survey and agreed a schedule of condition. The building totaling 13,650 sq ft had already benefitted from a fit-out to give it high office content as well as warehousing – exactly what the client was looking for.

Carter Jonas’ detailed local knowledge proved crucial in identifying a site that was not formally on the market. The client also reduced costs substantially thanks to our Team’s ability to negotiate favourable terms, and due to the fact that the building did not require a major re-fit, significantly reducing the need for capital expenditure.
