Retail and Town Centre Consultancy
Our national Retail Planning and Town Centre consultancy team is advising on the planning and development of new retail, leisure and mixed use development in town, edge and out of centre locations across the UK.
We take pride in working in partnership with our public and private sector clients, and key stakeholders, to help unlock the investment and development potential of the UK’s cities, towns, smaller centres and complex sites to create high quality, attractive, sustainable and viable locations.
Operating from our ‘hub’ offices in London, Oxford, Cambridge and Leeds/Harrogate, and our wider network of 30 offices across the UK, we are able to bring expert local planning, development and property market knowledge to our work.
Our best in class advice is underpinned by our deep understanding of the dynamic retail and leisure sectors, and the key drivers of sustainable and commercially viable town centres, investment and mixed use development.
Our team of planning, development, property market and technical specialists have a strong track record of providing added value to our public and private sector clients on projects, from inception to implementation. Our overriding objective is to help our clients increase the attraction and value of their sites and assets, and to make the right development happen in the right locations at the right time.
At the regional, sub-regional and local level we are preparing robust evidence-based retail, leisure and town centre visions and spatial strategies for our public sector clients to help inform and guide both plan making and development management decisions. This includes the preparation of local/neighbourhood plans, Area Action Plans (AAPs) and Masterplans. Some of our current clients include Nottingham City, Warwick, Bexley, Great Yarmouth, Hull, Ashford, Runnymede, Rugby, Southampton and Milton Keynes Councils.
We are also advising our private sector clients – including developers, investors, landowners and operators – on planning issues and promoting applications throughout the UK. This ranges from securing permission for large and complex mixed use schemes, to change of use and variation of conditions applications aimed at increasing the value and viability of existing assets.
Key members of our team also have a strong track record of successfully representing our local planning authority, developer and corporate clients at Local Plan, Planning Appeal, High Court and CPO Inquiries.
