Developing On-Site Energy Generation

A consortium of leading companies, including Carter Jonas, has come together to offer an integrated, innovative and flexible approach that allows clients to establish their own source of renewable energy generation, which can either be owned by the client or ultimately sold to a specialist renewable energy operator.

The consortium is able to offer a ‘one-stop shop’, with expertise in business development, environmental planning, technical feasibility, design and construction, specifically in renewable energy projects.

A project could take the form of anything from a single wind turbine to an anaerobic digester. The team can manage the entire process, taking the initial concept through to design, construction and eventual power generation, or alternatively they can offer advice and input at any stage of the project.

This offering is ideal for clients looking to utilise assets for energy production, including public bodies, anyone engaged in commercial or industrial processes where there is a high energy demand, as well as landowners looking to utilise assets for energy production.

Objectives:

  1. to provide a site with its own energy from renewable sources, which in turn will reduce the client’s greenhouse gas emissions
  2. to contribute to regional and sub-regional renewable energy and carbon reduction targets
  3. to support the client’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies, many of which now include ‘green’ energy production and usage
  4. to contribute to corporate resource efficiency aspirations.
