Supporting environmentally sensitive development proposals

Complex development projects often require an Environmental Impact Assessment.

We advise our clients on whether development proposals are of a scale and nature where compulsory Environmental Statement is required, or whether the decision is less clear-cut and will require a detailed interpretation of the regulations.

When required, Carter Jonas can negotiate the scope of Statement with the Local Planning Authority, while leading and co-ordinating a project team.  This team usually consists of a variety of professionals who ensure that the finalised Statement is in accordance with the agreed scoping, satisfies the necessary regulations and is in a form appropriate to accompany a planning application.
