Due to growth within the business, we are currently looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst to join our friendly IT team based at our Peterborough office. The main purpose of the role is to provide professional support and development for the business including network infrastructure, hardware, line of business applications and telecoms. Keeping up to date with current technologies and making recommendations for future strategies.

MAIN TASKS:

Helpdesk Support

Provide in a professional manner telephone and email 1st/2nd line support, recording, fixing and escalating to third party hardware and software providers as necessary.  You will then be expected to follow through with appropriate fix or fixes as advised, whilst keeping the user informed until problem resolution.

Desktop Support

You will be expected to provide support for all Carter Jonas offices throughout the country.  Duties will include but are not restricted to;

  • Providing support to all users using Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Windows 10/11.
  • Hardware fault determination and resolution in the event of a hardware/software failure, which may include third party liaison.
  • Provide support for the printing and integrated photocopier and scanning facilities.
  • To administer, monitor and report from utilities used to allow and control Internet usage and email filtering and most importantly McAfee’s antivirus systems used to protect and enforce governance across the firm.
  • Imaging/reimaging PCs and laptops as needed.
  • Administration of user accounts in Active Directory.

 

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

Good customer service and interpersonal skills are a must for this role, you will be liaising with staff from different levels within the firm, you will need a professional and positive attitude with the ability to provide concise and knowledgeable helpdesk support. You will have the ability to stay calm and work methodically and accurately when under pressure, be able to demonstrate knowledge of Active Directory and have had exposure to and an understanding of Local/Wide Area networks. The chosen candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Systems & Applications. Preferably MCP/MCTS qualified but not essential. Driving license and own vehicle required.
