We are looking to recruit an experienced Rural Surveyor to join our well-established rural team based in Cambridge. The focus of the role is to deliver valuation and professional advice across the Eastern Region to an existing banking, private and institutional client-base.
This is an exciting opportunity for a rural surveyor with responsibility for a range of clients delivering high levels of service and developing new business opportunities. An engaging and varied role, tasks range from the valuation of rural property including farms, estates, and residential property, to working strategically identifying and developing viable fee earning opportunities to cross sell other services within the business.
As an ambitious individual, you will be responsible for delivering a mix of valuation, landlord and tenant, compensation and other professional work. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, qualified land agent who would like a challenge as part of a wider team focusing on rural professional, estate management and farm agency work. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing growth of the Cambridge office rural base and the firm’s Vision.
OTHER KEY TASKS INCLUDE:
- Client relationship management.
- Participation in the development and implementation of an effective profit centre business plan developed in-line with the Carter Jonas vision.
- Pro-active participation in the management and development of team members.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
You will be a member of the RICS with at least 3 years PQE within rural surveying. With strong knowledge of valuation work and experience of rural landlord and tenant matters, you will be ambitious and passionate about business development and growing client relationships. You must be motivated by a fast-paced environment, flexible in your approach and be a supportive and collaborative team player proactively participating in managing and developing other team members. CAAV qualification is desirable, but not required.
