We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Operations Manager to lead our Contract Management Team of circa 32 people, providing administration, billing and property management support to our major contracts and public sector frameworks. This is a varied position with a multitude of day to day tasks, no two days will be the same and there will be a lot of job satisfaction to be had within this role!

MAIN TASKS (but not limited to); 

  • Day to day management of the Contract Management Team (CMT) which includes HR - welfare, absence management, staff performance and recruitment activities.
  • Driving best practice and continual improvement through Standard Operating procedures (SOPs), Operational manuals & workflows, customer service excellence and inter-team cross training with a ‘Lean Working’ approach.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO Accreditations
  • Ensuring conformity & compliance with contractual obligations, through an in-depth knowledge of each contract and framework specifications.
  • Assisting the Head of Contract Management with new contract & framework mobilisation to ensure all new processes and procedures are identified and implemented.
  • Following processes for Change Management.
  • Produce reports which detail the delivery of the team against each contract, identifies issues, take the appropriate action to resolve the issues.
  • Delivery of monthly internal client reporting to key stakeholders
  • Produce and deliver a monthly Operations Board report 
  • Work with the Business Excellence team to improve systems capability, increase automation and reduce manual processes
  • Working closely with Business Services ‘Heads’ to ensure contractual obligations are identified and met.
  • Manage the relationship with the client so that there is complete understanding of any issues regarding the service delivery including any outstanding debt, working closely with the CMT Credit Controller.
  • Production of Client and Internal financial reporting.
  • Co-ordinate meetings between the Client and Partners in terms of overall delivery of each contract.
  • Preparation and compliance with internal and external business audits.
  • Working with the Supply Chain manager to ensure a compliant supply chain.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

We are seeking an Operations Manager who is an excellent team leader with strong managerial skills. You will be process driven with good interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and written), you will hold project/programme management experience with the ability to handle and manage more than one project at a time, or a large project with multiple strands. Experience of lean working and proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team within best practice and service delivery focused is key! It would be an advantage but not essential to be a PRINCE II Practitioner or MSP Programme Management qualified.
