We have an opportunity to recruit a varied Rural Professional role for a proactive Chartered Surveyor assisting with general rural professional matters including agency, rural grant applications, compensation, landlord and tenant matters and valuations within our team based in Bristol.
The role will be to assist with the delivery of agency instructions, rural grant applications (BPS, CS, ELMS etc). Compensation for landowners – i.e water, gas, sewer and road schemes. Dealing with landlord and tenant matters, including aspects surrounding FBTs, AHAs and ASTs and assisting with rural valuations for variety of purposes; secured lending, tax, succession planning.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
We are seeking an MRICS Surveyor with good working knowledge of agency, rural grant schemes, tenancy legislation, compensation matters and ideally Registered Valuer. The chosen person will have excellent team orientated interpersonal skills and experience of communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients. Good negotiating and presentational skills and have the ability to multi-task effectively to meet deadlines. Sound knowledge of relevant agricultural tenancy legislation and practical farming is required. Knowledge of Promap or similar digital mapping programmes would be an advantage. A full driving licence and car along with the willingness and ability to travel within the UK or as required.
