We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Desk Analyst to join our central IT team located in Peterborough, providing user friendly support and development for the business including network infrastructure, hardware, line of business applications and telecoms.Responsible for providing support for all Carter Jonas offices, you will take ownership of calls logged and provide 1st/2nd line support, recording, fixing and escalating to third party hardware and software providers as necessary, following through with appropriate fixes. Other tasks include, identification of problems from repeat incidents, administration of user accounts in Active Directory, and imaging/re-imaging PCs and laptops as needed. You will provide software support on Microsoft Office (O365) and other internal specialised applications. 1-2 years IT experience is required.
Provide in a professional manner telephone and email 1st/2nd line support, recording, fixing and escalating to third party hardware and software providers as necessary. You will then be expected to follow through with appropriate fix or fixes as advised, whilst keeping the user informed until problem resolution.
You will be expected to provide support for all Carter Jonas offices throughout the country. Duties will include but are not restricted to;
- Providing support to all users using Microsoft Office (O365) and Microsoft Windows.
- Hardware fault determination and resolution in the event of a hardware/software failure, which may include third party liaison.
- Provide support for the printing and integrated photocopier and scanning facilities.
- To administer, monitor and report from utilities used to allow and control Internet usage and email filtering and most importantly McAfee’s antivirus systems used to protect and enforce governance across the firm.
- Imaging/re-imaging PCs and laptops as needed.
- Administration of user accounts in Active Directory.
You will be expected to provide Microsoft Office support to a high level to all staff on an as needed basis. After appropriate training you will also be expected to offer 1st and 2nd line support on the firm’s specialised applications including NAV, SAP Concur, time recording and property management systems.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
You will need to have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service skills and work well as part of a busy team. Enthusiastic and reliable, you will be able to manage conflicting priorities. You will be expected to provide Microsoft Office support to a high level, so knowledge of Office 365 is required.
