The subject land measures approximately 0.4 ha (0.98 acres) and formerly serviced a railway but is now effectively clear, save the presence of some vegetation. The site is level with direct access on to Longstock Road to the west, with open countryside to the east. We are not aware of any Tree Preservation Orders within the site.

Freehold with vacant possession.

PLANNING
An application to redevelop the site for residential purposes was previously submitted to Test Valley Borough Council (reference 07/00365/OUTN) by the landowner, but was refused and subsequently dismissed at Appeal. However it was noted that the local authority has conceded the site has brownfield status within the Inspector’s report. We have not made any further enquiries with the local planning authority and we recommend that interested parties undertake their own investigations with regard to any planning matters.
The land is registered in Test Valley Borough Council’s SHLAA.
