A retail-led, mixed-use development for Daniel Department Store in Windsor, where our brief was to partly rebuild and upgrade the existing building and generate additional value by creating lettable retail units at ground floor - within the existing envelope. Together with the option for a new 60 bedroom hotel on the roof.

Located within a conservation area at the heart of the Royal Borough, the scheme is sensitively configured to sit comfortably in its context - with the existing low-rise department store gaining new upper storeys that do not impact on the store’s visual appearance. The completed scheme reinforces Daniel’s presence on the town’s main shopping street.
