It is said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but a Bath estate agency reports that the end of the month was still roaring as far as property viewings were concerned.

Carter Jonas has notched up 90 viewings during the month and has completed a sale a day for the past six days (to April 2).

David Mackenzie, residential partner at the firm’s Wood Street office says activity has been lively and beyond expectations.

He said: “We always thought that things would improve in spring but prospective buyers have come out with a purpose. Whether the spring sunshine has spurred them on or not I wouldn’t like to say but at Carter Jonas we always advocate that if we work hard to encourage viewings with buyers and strive to keep our clients one step ahead of the market, we will get the results, it’s as simple as that.”

“Our advice has been paying off and vendors are being realistic with the asking price so consequently property has been selling.

“As a result we need to replenish our stock and for those who are thinking now is the right time to get moving, now would definitely be the right time to give us a call. The past month has confirmed there are buyers out there and April could see as many viewings and sales as March, said Mr Mackenzie.”

Properties sold recently, in Bath and the surrounding villages, have been around the £1m price bracket for Carter Jonas who can be contacted on 01225 747251.
