Carter Jonas, the UK property consultancy, has appointed Conor Moloney to head its Masterplanning Team, which forms part of its in-house architecture and design practice, Sutton Griffin Architects. Conor joins from BDP, the international architecture consultancy, where he worked on a number of major regeneration, institutional and urban extension projects including Watford Junction, Brunel University and Newton Abbot.

Conor previously headed the Sustainable Places team at Bioregional, the international sustainability and social planning agency, delivering a number of sustainable One Planet Living partnership initiatives in Sutton, Surrey, Brighton & Hove, Whitehill & Bordon and Bicester.

Conor has a background in architecture, and masters in both urban geography and planning. He has over fifteen years’ experience in urban design, strategic planning, client liaison and stakeholder and public engagement. Post qualification, Conor worked for seven years at urban design, planning and transport consultancy, Urban Initiatives, on some of the biggest estate regeneration and new build urban extensions projects across the UK and Ireland. These include the regeneration of Aylesbury Estate in London and Dublin’s first eco-town, Clonburris.

James Bainbridge, Head of Planning and Development, Carter Jonas, said:
“Conor has a wealth of experience, which is both practical and theoretical, and he is a valuable addition to our team. Using his extensive expertise to enable public and private sector partnerships, he will work to ensure that schemes which are carried forward are both practical and deliverable.

“Conor’s appointment further enhances our ability to advise our clients on all aspects of the planning and development process and will help them to unlock and realise significant opportunities.”
