17 September 2014, Leeds based Henry Erdozain, Senior Surveyor, for property consultancy Carter Jonas completed an epic bike ride from London to Newcastle in under 24 hours to help raise more than £1400 for charity.

Henry, together with his friend Nick Boxall-Hunt began the 310 mile journey from Finsbury Park and arrived in Newcastle the following day – 35 minutes inside their target time.

The cycle ride was in support of Action for A-T (www.actionforAT.org) a charity set up by a friend of Henry’s and Nick’s which works to find a cure for Ataxia-Telangiectasia - a rare, genetic and degenerative childhood disease that affects multiple systems of the body.

Henry said: “Nick and I really wanted to do something in support of Action for A-T – a charity that is close to both of our hearts. The bike ride was a great experience and we did it knowing that every penny raised will help fund research into a disease with no known cure.”  The pair have raised £1,434 for the charity so far but it is still possible to donate via their JustGiving page www.justgiving.com/smoketotoon.
