The land lies approximately 4 miles south east of Tadcaster and 10 miles south west of York.

The underlying soil types are predominantly “Bishampton 1” which is a deep fine loamy soils with slowly permeable subsoil’s suitable for cereals, sugar beet and potatoes and “Dunkeswick”, a slowly permeable fine loamy soil suitable for arable cropping and grassland.

The land is subject to a wider Higher Level Stewardship Agreement.

The land has been registered for the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS). The Basic Payment Scheme Entitlements are included within the sale. The Vendor will use their reasonable endeavours to transfer the appropriate BPS entitlements to the Purchaser upon completion in accordance with the scheme rules.
