Sporting activities in the village include very active tennis and cricket clubs and in the general area including hunting with the Beaufort, Polo at Westonbirt, racing at Cheltenham, Bath and Newbury and golf at Chippenham, Castle Combe and Bowood.
Schools in the area are excellent and include Westonbirt, St Mary’s Calne, Stonar, Dauntsey's, Beaudesert Park (Minchinhampton), Badminton (Bristol) and the Bath Schools that cover all ages.

DIRECTIONS
If approaching from London - From junction 17 of the M4 motorway take the second exit off the roundabout onto the A350 towards Chippenham, after approximately 2.7 miles take the second exit off the roundabout onto the A350 towards Warminster. After two more roundabouts take the fourth exit on the third roundabout signposted for Bristol and Castle Combe on the A420. After approximately 2.3 miles turn left on to Yatton Road/Cuttle Lane signposted for Biddestone. On entering the village the private lane is found on the right hand side of the road immediately after the traffic calming measure, and Parkers Farm Bungalow is found at the top of the rise of this cul-de-sac.
