LOCATION
Porthpean Golf Cottages are located on Porthpean Golf Course, within walking distance of the club house and direct access onto the golf course itself. The three properties overlook the 17th green and have panoramic sea views over St. Austell Bay. The properties have easy access onto the South West Coastal Path and are a short walk to the sandy Porthpean Beach which is good for outdoor pursuits and water sports including dinghy sailing and coasteering, making it a major attraction for guests.

Porthpean is only 2 miles from St. Austell which provides a range of shops, restaurants and supermarkets and is home to the St. Austell Brewery. The St. Austell area is easily accessible via the A30 (dual carriageway) to the M5 Motorway at J31 and the cottages are 16 miles from Newquay Airport.

The city of Truro (18 miles) provides further amenities and facilities including a multiplex cinema and the independent Truro School. The city has a full range of shopping facilities and a cathedral.

Local tourist attractions in the area include The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Adrenalin Quarry at Liskeard, Lanhydrock House (National Trust) and the historic port of Charlestown which is regularly used as a film set due to its picturesque nature. For the more active, the Pentewan cycle trail that runs from St. Austell to Pentewan is close by. Mountain biking is available at Cardinham Woods near Bodmin and further into Cornwall is Lands End and Bodmin Moor.
