Carter Jonas marketed and successfully let over 3,000 sq ft of office space at Granta Park, Cambridge to Certis Europe.

The Carter Jonas business and science park team in Cambridge, acting as joint retained agents at Granta Park, ensured the successful letting of a 3,111 sq ft office suite to Certis Europe within the Riverside office block.

Having identified Certis Europe (an international business involved in the development and innovation of sciencebased crop protection technology) as a suitable Tenant that would comply with the user restrictions at the park viewings were arranged and negotiations handled on behalf of MEPC (The Landlord and developer of Granta Park). A number of proposals were presented to Certis Europe that were supported by the organisation of draft fit out plans for the suite. After a period of negotiation a highly agreeable position for both parties was reached where by a new full repairing and insuring lease for a term of 6 years was agreed with stepped rents over the agreed term. Matters were guided through solicitor’s hands with completion successfully achieved just four months after the initial viewing.

The team has acted on behalf of MEPC + TWI on a number of other successful lettings at Granta Park over the last 6 months including the letting of 5,000 sq ft of office / lab space to Biotica and securing the expansion of GHD at the park who originally took 5,000 sq ft and have subsequently taken a further 3,000 sq ft to aid their growth.
