Carter Jonas is supporting OxTrail, which will see over 30 life-sized ox sculptures take over the streets of Oxford this year to raise money for Sobell House Hospice Charity.

Carter Jonas’ Oxford team advises and supports clients across Commercial, Residential Sales and Lettings, New Homes, Planning, Development, Property Management, Building Consultancy, Infrastructure, Energy and as well as on Rural matters, including estate management, sales and natural capital. Carter Jonas is sponsoring an ox that will appear in the spectacular trail this summer. It will then be uniquely decorated by a local or international artist before appearing in the vibrant and family-friendly trail.

The huge art installation event is being brought to Oxford by Sobell House Hospice with Wild in Art.

Through its sponsorship, the business is supporting the Oxfordshire hospice charity and backing an event that will bring the community together and encourage tourism in Oxford.

OxTrail will launch to the public on 6 July 2024 and the art will be on display until the end of August 2024. After this, sculptures will be auctioned off to raise money for the hospice.

Amelia Foster, CEO at Sobell House Hospice Charity, said: “Across eight weeks, OxTrail will encourage locals and visitors of all ages to explore Oxford’s iconic attractions and find some hidden gems. It’ll be a huge event for the city but one we would not be able to do without the fantastic support and sponsorship from local businesses such as Carter Jonas.

Simon McConnell, Head of Carter Jonas Oxford, said: “OxTrail promises to add more art, intrigue, and vibrancy to our already beautiful city while also raising essential funds for a charity that is dear to many in our community. I recently attended an unveiling of the shortlisted designs, and it was great to see how OxTrail is coming together! We are thrilled to support this initiative and eagerly anticipate the final design of our own ox sculpture and the rest of the happy herd."

The business’ designed ox will be kept under wraps until the launch of the trail in July.
