The Works included:
The Earl Building
A new building providing 50 en suite study bedrooms clustered around shared kitchens. The latter are large enough to act as social gathering places, as well as cooking and dining. The project also included a new gymnasium and a laundry.
Conversion of an existing building to provide 19 en suite study bedrooms grouped around generous kitchens.
Conversion of three Victorian terraced houses to provide a total of 17 en suite study bedrooms.
Ruskin Lane Building
A new building providing 32 en suite study bedrooms grouped around shared kitchens. This building also included multi-purpose teaching/conference rooms and a fully equipped catering kitchen.
Major refurbishment and extensions to Victorian properties providing a total of 44 en suite study bedrooms.
The Casson & Wolfson Buildings
Major refurbishment of these 1960s & 70s buildings providing a total of 55 en suite study bedrooms and associated facilities.
These projects were all undertaken within the beautiful College grounds, surrounded by fine listed buildings and working during term time. Carter Jonas also acted as special advisor to the Provost during the refurbishment and extension of a group of important listed Georgian houses in Beaumont Street.
