Notting Hill is located in West London and situated in the north-western corner of Kensington Gardens, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Notting Hill is regarded as a cosmopolitan district, known for hosting the annual Notting Hill Carnival and being used as the setting for the 1999 film, Notting Hill. Like much of the west end, Notting Hill has a contemporary reputation as an affluent and fashionable area; famous for its attractive terraces of large Victorian townhouses, and high-end shopping and restaurants (particularly around Westbourne Grove and Clarendon Cross).

Outside work Gareth is a keen diver and has spent many happy hours exploring reefs in the Caribbean and Far East, closer to home he plays regular tennis and finds time to swim before work most mornings.
