Mark is a Partner and Chief Executive of Carter Jonas.  His professional work involves the management of agricultural estates across the country for both private and institutional clients.  Mark's role in running Carter Jonas, takes him from his Yorkshire home, to London and elsewhere in England and Wales.  His interest outside the office is sport, and in particular tennis, which he manages to play most weeks during the summer and winter.

Tom is a Partner advising private and institutional clients on all aspects of rural property management specialising in strategic planning in respect of development, succession planning, purchases and sales, and estate reorganisation.  Tom runs his own farm and is passionate about all country pursuits.

David is one of two Planning Partners based in Harrogate and advises a wide range of clients across the north of England on matters relating to individual planning proposals and strategic promotion of land for development as part of the Local Development Framework process.  He has specific expertise in rural and residential development projects, advising charitable trusts, private estates, developer as well as land owning clients in strategies to maximise development potential and land value.  Amongst other sporting exploits David spends much of his spare time on the football field coaching young children in the art of 'the beautiful game' and is heavily involved in running a junior football team in the Teesside League.

James is a rural property specialist who advises clients in Yorkshire and around the UK on a wide range of property issues including agricultural, residential, sporting woodland, telecoms and all other issues relating to estate management.  James was brought up on a family dairy farm in Devon working on the farm in school holidays.  He then went to Agricultural College in Cirencester where he obtained a degree and wife who was born and bred in Yorkshire.  Having moved to Yorkshire in 2004 James now considers himself to be a Yorkshireman but most locals would probably differ!  In his spare time he enjoys shooting, family, cycling walking and an unhealthy fascination with tractors.

John is a Partner and head of the Planning Team in the firm's Harrogate office.  John advises clients throughout  the UK on a wide range of development proposals.  In particular on development proposals particularly in rural areas, estate diversification, leisure projects, hotels, commercial developments, close care retirement communities, alternative energy projects and educational establishments.  John is experienced in strategic promotion of land and buildings though the planning system and is an expert witness at planning inquiries and development plan examinations.  Outside of work, John spends his spare time with his family and indulges his keenness for old aeroplanes and land rovers.

Nick is a Partner based in the Harrogate office.  He is responsible for all types of residential agency work in both north & west Yorkshire with particular expertise in dealing with the sale of country and village houses, land and development sales and new developments.  He has recently dealt with the sales of some of the most important country house sales in the Yorkshire region.  Much of Nick's time outside Carter Jonas is spent with his two young children and wife.  He enjoys most sports when time permits which includes 'fair weather' golfing when the sun shines, skiing during the winter months and most ball sports when the opportunity arises.  Both working and living locally also gives Nick the opportunity to get actively involved in the local community whenever possible and having grown up within the area gives him a fantastic knowledge of both the local and regional markets.

Paul is an Associate, based in Harrogate, advising and representing clients on strategic and planning policy matters, including the promotion of land through the regional and local planning processes, implementation and delivery strategies.  He has particular expertise on sequential issues, development appraisal and the environmental impact assessment of residential, leisure and tourism, retail, mixed use, infrastructure and renewable energy schemes.  Paul's interests include cycling, hill walking, travel and building restoration; a current project being a 400 year old cottage.

Mark is an Associate based in the Harrogate office specialising in estate management but with a number of public sector clients for whom he carries out professional work.  His work varies from grouse moor management, property disposals, traditional estate management and dealing with compulsory purchase claims on behalf of an acquiring authority.  Mark enjoys most field sports especially fishing and also running and mountain biking on the hills around his home near Thirsk.  He is secretary of his local athletics club, Thirsk & Sowerby Harriers and when the weather is poor can be found mending bicycles he's acquired on ebay or dreaming about the next skiing trip.

Clive is an Environmental Planning Specialist based in Harrogate, with over 10 years' experience in the renewable energy sector. He has undertaken a significant number of environmental impact assessments for energy-related developments and has extensive experience of working with wind energy developers. He has also advised both the UK and Scottish Governments on developing planning policy for renewable energy developments. In his spare time, Clive enjoys all aspects of being in the countryside and is a keen hill walker.

She has been actively involved in a variety of different on-site energy generation and large scale renewable energy schemes covering; wind, anaerobic digestion and biomass Combined Heath and Power (CHP) developments. In her spare time, Victoria is heavily involved in junior basketball, as a team manager and tabling official duties for local basketball teams.
