06 October 2015, The £90m ‘Beaverbrook’ development, comprising a golf course, hotel, cookery school and spa is now well underway following numerous legal challenges and a great deal of heartache for the owners, Longshot (Cherkley Court) Ltd.

The ‘ultra-exclusive’ 18 hole golf course will open next July now that the last few fairways and greens have been seeded. The founder members have already played over the first 5 holes to be completed and feedback has been tremendous for the David McLay-Kidd/Tom Watson design. The Clubhouse and underground Maintenance building are now well advanced. It well may be the 142nd course in Surrey but we hope it will come straight into the charts at No1.

We have recently received a raft of planning permissions for further developments on the estate and are about to seek approval for the final amendments to the grade II listed main building and spa complex (which will now include a Padel Tennis court) The 5* hotel is scheduled to open in 2017.
