Carter Jonas has appointed Peter Disley as a Partner in its Manchester Planning & Development team, strengthening its development consulting, agency and regeneration expertise across the North West.

Peter joins as a Specialist with more than 25 years’ experience across the public and private sectors. His career spans consultancy, development and investment; giving him experience of projects from initial site identification and acquisition through planning, viability, funding, delivery and disposal.

His appointment comes at a period of significant investment and regeneration across the North West, with major residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes creating growing demand for advice which brings together planning, development and commercial expertise.

Peter was most recently Head of Development at Courts Real Estate. He has previously held senior development roles at Praxis Real Estate, New East Manchester URC and Cushman & Wakefield. Earlier in his career he worked for Drivers Jonas (now Deloitte Real Estate)

His experience includes major regeneration and development projects across the North of England including the former RAF Sealand Site, North Wales, Eastlands/SportCity in Manchester, St Stephens in Hull and strategic residential/mixed-use schemes in Cheshire, Salford and North Wales.

Peter’s appointment will also support closer collaboration between Carter Jonas’s Planning & Development team and its Manchester Commercial team, led by Matt Lee, enabling the business to advise clients across more of the development lifecycle.
