Our rural graduate roles are ideal for those who have an interest in contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of a healthy natural environment. The role of a rural surveyor is increasingly involved, not only in the professional and technical aspects, but also in business, resource management, consultancy, and as leaders in the rural community.
Being a rural surveyor means knowing how the countryside works, and understanding the interrelationships that exist between the people who live and work there.
We invest in our graduates from day one, providing a structured training programme, an APC supervisor or counsellor, and regular assessments to ensure you achieve the full level of competency required for your APC.
Our rural division spans across the UK, where our teams manage over 1.3 million acres for our clients and advise farm, land and estate owners on all aspects of their portfolio. The work of a rural surveyor requires a wide range of professional and technical skills, and draws on knowledge in key areas, including agriculture, management of the natural environment & landscape, property management & valuation.
The rural property grad scheme is suitable to those who hold a RICS accredited degree, such as Real Estate or Rural Land Management.
We also offer a non-cognate route to the RICS graduate scheme for those who are willing to study towards a master’s in order to join the property grad scheme. Please note, you can still apply for this opportunity through our graduate recruitment application process.
The RICS competency framework ensures those applying for the qualification are competent to practise and meet the highest standards of professionalism required.
