Three career highlights:
Over a career spanning nearly 30 years involving all forms of property from a nuclear bunker through to the vast majority of the County’s main business schemes, it is difficult to choose just three highlights; the following are certainly are worthy of note:

I have chosen this as we were presented with a challenging brief by our client but I was able to use my market knowledge to unearth an off market opportunity that we subsequently acquired on very favourable terms.

Sale of Foxcombe Hall, Oxford: It is not often you get to market a University Campus and, as such, our disposal of the former Open University Campus at Boars Hill has been a highlight, working alongside our residential team on this high profile instruction.

Letting instruction, The Quadrant, Abingdon Science Park: I am currently leading this letting instruction where we have enjoyed a considerable amount of early success. I have chosen this as a highlight however as we have been able to provide clear letting advice, implement our recommendations and see the results.

Acting on behalf of Eskmuir Properties, Carter Jonas were instructed on a joint agency basis to dispose of vacant units on Nuffield Industrial Estate on a leasehold basis.

The properties formed part of a collection of terraced units, each with varying sizes, located just off the A430 on the south Oxford ring road with easy access to the A34. In total, there was 44,986 sqft across 8 units with parking included.

Carter Jonas have successfully secured four tenants for the estate totaling 27,050 sqft including 1 unit under offer and 3 vacant units left. The tenants that have been secured are a mixture of industrial and trade occupiers.

Around the time of launch, Carter Jonas were quoting £8.75 psf which has risen to £9.00 psf in light of limited availability for occupiers to consider good quality industrial premises close to Oxford.

Carter Jonas have been providing marketing and disposal advice to Eskmuir throughout their tenure, as agents working closely with their joint agents to secure lettings on behalf of their client.
