National property consultancy Carter Jonas has expanded its Building Consultancy teams in Birmingham and Cambridge with the appointment of Neil Keating and Tom Setchell as Partners.

The new appointments support the firm’s five-year growth strategy, which focuses on strengthening regional leadership and enhancing the consistency and quality of service delivery across the country.

Neil joins from Mathurst, having previously worked for Realis Estates and Trident Building Consultancy during a 20 year career in surveying across the United Kingdom. With extensive experience in managing complex construction and redevelopment projects, he brings a detailed understanding of the regional market and the needs of both private and public sector clients.

Tom is a Chartered Building Surveyor with more than 17 years’ experience. He specialises in the strategic planning and management of works to commercial property, including project management, contract administration, dilapidations, fire remediation and refurbishment of modern, historic and listed buildings. He joins from Black Cat Building Consultancy and has previously held positions at Deloitte, CBRE and BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Both will report to Richard Love, Head of Commercial Consultancy at Carter Jonas. Richard said:

I am delighted to welcome Tom and Neil to Carter Jonas at what is a particularly exciting point in our growth. Their depth of technical expertise and their commercial acumen will strengthen our capacity to deliver large and complex instructions across sectors including office, industrial and education. As we continue to expand our national network, leaders of this calibre will play a key role in delivering the next phase of our strategy.
