Mayfield House in Summertown has been completely refurbished, comprising a full refit of the office interiors, new shop frontages plus the enhancement and detailed finishing of external areas.  The work has been overseen by Carter Jonas, acting on behalf of private clients.

Scott Harkness of Carter Jonas comments:  ‘In an economic downturn there is the temptation to cut corners on finishes, however I am delighted to say that our client was not interested in this route, opting in fact to significantly enhance the specification to provide a truly grade A-star building for Summertown.”

The works have included new street furniture and paving, which has significantly enhanced the aesthetics of this section of the retail frontage of the Banbury Road. The retail units have all been extended and now have modern full height glazing that ensures Mayfield House stands out with a clean contemporary frontage. This attention to detail extends to the common parts where marble walls and Italian tiling have been used. The office areas boast high quality carpeting, a single ceiling grid with air conditioning together with contemporary kitchen/breakout areas.

As a result of this programme, the retail accommodation is fully let with Harvey Jones Kitchens and Penny Sinclair being new arrivals, and there is now a range of high quality air conditioned offices available from 1,083 sq ft up to 7,200 sq ft.

Summertown is a desirable and thriving business and residential location with a wide range of amenities and facilities and excellent public transport links.  A car parking ratio of 1 space per 500 sq ft of office space occupied makes Mayfield House a superb base for business.
