Carter Jonas has announced the appointment of Dr David Bell as principal ecologist within the firm’s rural division.

David will be based in Shrewsbury however will offer professional ecology services across the company’s 30 offices in England and Wales.

David has over 30 years experience as a professional ecologist. He previously led teams of ecological consultants at both RPS and Waterman Groups. He has completed numerous protected species surveys, can contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments, and has served as Expert Witness at Planning Inquiries. Before moving into the private sector, he served for 14 years as a local planning authority ecologist, and has also worked for Natural England, RSPB and the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust.
