London 24 June 2014, Prime West End locations such as Mayfair and St James's have witnessed an increase in rent, business rates and service charge occupancy costs of up to 86 per cent since mid 2009, taking typical office outgoings up to £187.50 per sq ft per annum for new Grade A space - the highest of all of the Central London office sub-markets.

This is according to national property consultancy Carter Jonas, which reviews Central London office rents, business rates and service charge costs in its bi-annual Commercial Edge report.
