16 October 2014, Carter Jonas, a leading UK property consultancy, has acquired Whittingham Prosser, a niche West End investment practice for an undisclosed sum.

Whittingham Prosser was established in 2005 by Mike Prosser and Mike Whittingham and has built up an impressive client base including institutional investors, property companies and private investors, and has acquired, asset managed and disposed of commercial property investments in all sectors throughout the UK.

Mike Prosser has been appointed investment partner within Carter Jonas’ London-based Investment and Asset Management team in its national HQ at One Chapel Place.  As well as expanding the activities of the division, Mike will also work closely with the firm’s regional offices to promote and expand investment services for the benefit of its clients.

Mike Whittingham has been appointed a consultant and will also pursue his other business interests.

Scott Harkness, head of commercial, Carter Jonas said:  “The acquisition of a niche investment practice is an important step for our Commercial Division to bolster our investment activity and increase market share. Whittingham Prosser’s expertise in the South East and national markets compliments our existing capabilities and creates a platform for us to continue to grow both transactional and mandated investment and asset management advisory work to our clients’ benefit.”

Mike Prosser added:  “I am delighted to be joining a successful and growing business which I believe will broaden the scope of opportunities and the range of advice I can offer my existing clients.  I am also looking forward to working with my colleagues in London and our commercial offices in the regions to provide Carter Jonas’ established clients with investment and asset management advice.”
