An extremely rare opportunity has arisen to lease the only vacant shop on one of Oxford’s busiest and best-known shopping streets.

Carter Jonas has taken instruction to let 35 South Parade, an affordable 629 sq ft retail space in the heart of Summertown’s shopping district, and the firm is expecting a flurry of interest from established and new-start up businesses looking to make a name for themselves in Oxford.

Number 35 is the only vacant unit in South Parade which is the hub of cultural and commercial life in North Oxford and is comprised of 12 retail units including shops, restaurants and the North Wall Theatre and Arts Centre.

The shop, which also comes complete with a 340 sq ft rear store and 150 sq ft basement for storage or office space, has become available as the present occupier Emma Walker Flowers is expanding and moving to larger premises.

It is available to let at a rental of £18,250 pax.

Emma, who has run her shop from South Parade for five years, says: “The shop is in a great spot to launch a business. We definitely won a lot of business and contacts from being in such a prominent place in North Oxford which we wouldn’t have won if we’d been somewhere else.
