The Game Fair is THE festival of the countryside. Bringing together a vast array of attractions and country pursuits, there is something for everyone – from shooting, fishing and gundogs, to falconry, food and drink and 4x4 driving.

Carter Jonas is proud to once again sponsor the Carter Jonas Game Fair Theatre, which features speakers, politicians and celebrities.

Guests of Carter Jonas can get day tickets for just £25 using the code CarterJonas22. Buy tickets in advance on The Game Fair website, and find out more, at thegamefair.org.

OUR PICKS FOR THE CARTER JONAS GAME FAIR THEATRE

FRIDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

10am: What's going to happen to shoots this season? Sporting agents Frank Boddy and Paul Childerley, Ted Beale from Carter Jonas and Chris Horne from GunsOnPegs discuss the toll that bird flu and the lead ban are having on shooting season.

1.50pm: Worthless peat and uplands – why would anyone want to own a sporting estate beyond the deer, the grouse and the fish? Is it true that carbon credits make peat suddenly worth its weight in, well, peat? Carter Jonas and the Environment Bank explain how landowners can make a profit and even help the environment through peat, trees and biodiversity.

2.20pm: What does it take to sell a large country house? Andrew Chandler and Marc Liebrecht from Carter Jonas talks about property prices and what's affecting them.

4pm: A 65p profit: is Clarkson's Farm for real? Chris Turner from Carter Jonas explains how and why incomes are so desperately low in agriculture, and what farmers can do about it.

4.40pm: We are delighted to be joined by Holland & Holland, who will be talking about the future of gunmaking, as well as Symington Family Estates on the history and future of port wines. After the talk, join us for a cocktail made using the family’s famous white port – a delicious and zesty summer drink.
