Carter Jonas continues its expansion opening a new office at Wilderspool Park, Cheshire, in the North West of England. The Park is a short distance from Warrington and within easy reach of Manchester and Liverpool.

Carter Jonas has taken space at Wilderspool Park’s Whitehouse building, as a result of the progressive growth of its Infrastructure & Energy offering, headed up by Mark Hall-Digweed.

The office is led by Jane Barlow who joined Carter Jonas in 2018 with more than 20 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector. Barlow manages several multi-disciplinary teams delivering land assembly, acquisition, compensation and asset management contracts and projects. Barlow leads a nine-strong team including three new appointments; Jacquie Critchley, Kate Mason and Jordan Branson.

Jane Barlow, Associate Partner, Carter Jonas said: “We have been developing existing and new work streams in the North West for some time and are delighted to be bringing the skills and experience of key staff members into a dynamic office location. This will enable us further to enhance our services to clients across the region.”

Mark Granger, Chief Executive, Carter Jonas said: “We are extremely pleased to secure this new base for our growing team. It provides an ideal location from which we can continue to deliver the best support to our clients and expand our market reach across the region. Improving connectivity in the North West is a key aim of the Northern Powerhouse initiative and, with our national expertise, we look forward to working further with key stakeholders to create tailored solutions to drive these exciting plans forward."

Critchley joins as an Associate Partner with more than 25 years’ experience in consenting and environmental impact assessments. Most recently, she acted as Consents Manager for development consent orders for a number of nationally significant infrastructure projects. These include 400kV and 132kV transmission lines, and major pipelines.

Kate Mason joins as an Associate. With 10 years’ experience, she is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has focused on the infrastructure and utility sectors including roles at HS2 and Dalcour Maclaren LLP. At Carter Jonas, Mason is the regional North West lead on key schemes including Highways England’s regional property management portfolio.

Jordan Branson joins Carter Jonas on the graduate scheme. Over the next 12 months, she will support the North West’s growing team as well as becoming a key point of contact for clients.

The new appointments follow the addition of Steve Hopley and Paul Williams who recently joined Carter Jonas’ North West team as an Associate Partner and Associate respectively; they have a combined 40 years’ experience in the regional market. Hopley works across the public and private sectors, delivering innovative estates and regeneration strategies, initiatives and projects. Telecommunications specialist, Williams works across the firm’s Commercial, Rural and Planning & Development Divisions to provide expert telecoms advice to Carter Jonas clients.
