Subsequently, after a protracted planning process, planning consent was received for a distributor road and up to 961 units. After a very competitive marketing process, we sold the whole site to one party. The sale is believed to be the largest land transaction of its nature conducted in Dorset for several years.
When complete, the 143-acre (58 hectare) development will also include public open spaces, sports pitches, an extension to the local school and a local centre, which has the potential to provide a mix of retail, community, health and leisure amenities and will also provide much-needed affordable housing.
