Instructed to acquire an office floor within the City of London suitable for accommodating approximately 90 staff, incorporating a trading floor.
Carter Jonas’s client Czarnikow Ltd required a floor plate which would suit financial trading. As such, an efficient square/rectangular column-free floor plate was sought in order for the traders to be able to clearly communicate with each other.
During Q1 2015, the City of London office vacancy levels were low and suitable options limited. As such an option was identified “off market” where US lawyers were soon to be vacating. An agreement was signed with the landlord to ensure the soon-to-be-vacant office space was fully refurbished to a CAT A finish, ready for the client’s office fitting-out team.
Carter Jonas project management team were appointed to oversee the design and construction of the clients office fit-out. This included undertaking the pre-contract due-diligence surveys. Due to the enhanced power required to operate the trading floor, together with required enhanced air-conditioning, solutions were put in place quickly to accommodate this.
