Andrew is the Senior Managing Agent for The Crown Estate having responsibility for management across East Anglia, East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
He heads the National Rural Agency team and is an AMC Agent and RICS Registered Valuer.
Tim is head of the firm's Rural Division and of the Cambridge office, although he spends a considerable amount of time in London. He has over 20 years experience in advising institutional and private clients on a very wide range of rural business issues, including sales and purchases, strategic advice and valuations. He often works with specialists in other divisions of the firm to provide clients with a fully integrated property service. Tim lives near Newmarket and has a keen interest in country pursuits, encouraged constantly by his two children.
Tom is a Partner advising private and institutional clients on all aspects of rural property management specialising in strategic planning in respect of development, succession planning, purchases and sales, and estate reorganisation. Tom runs his own farm and is passionate about all country pursuits.
Ralph is a Partner in the firm’s Rural Division and is head of the Shrewsbury Office. Ralph advises mainly private clients in mid and North Wales as well as in Shropshire on a range of rural property matters especially those relating to landlord and tenant, settlements and capital taxation. He is instrumental in energising traditional estates and their redevelopment as thriving rural enterprises. Ralph is a keen field sportsman and enjoys rough shooting and trying to outwit his dog as well as keeping a small flock of sheep.
Christopher D'Olley is a Rural Partner in the Winchester office. He is a Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, with over 30 years experience.
Work undertaken covers estate and rural business management, valuations, landlord and tenant matters, development option and promotion agreements, arbitrations, expert witness and Agricultural Lands Tribunal.
Mark is part of the infrastructures team and his principal role is advising on compulsory purchase, compensation and valuation. He acts for claimants, who’s residential, commercial, agricultural or development property is affected by compulsory purchase, and also for acquiring authorities promoting compulsory purchase orders, land assembly and the acquisition of rights over land.
Mark has advised on compulsory purchase and valuation since starting practicing as a surveyor in 2006 and has represented significant clients on schemes including the Northern Line Extension, Bexhill to Hastings Link Road, A21 Dualling and the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade. Other than compulsory purchase his professional background is in rural surveying and agricultural property valuation, and he is a RICS Registered Valuer and a Fellow and examiner for the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Mark Hall-Digweed heads the Infrastructures department, where he has developed the team to deliver project management, land agency and property consultancy services to utility, public sector bodies and civil engineering organisations. The team is very successful and has grown to attract large clients such as Network Rail. Mark was also appointed in 2010 to lead Carter Jonas’s cross divisional Public Sector Group, where he is responsible for developing clients with complex multi-faceted requirements.
Marks primary skills include multiple site management, high level negotiation and dispute resolution, programme management and the implementation of new systems, estate management, as well as compulsory purchase and compensation work. He has high levels of experience in all of the above.
Andrew is a Partner delivering Farm and Rural Agency across the Southern region. Working closely with the London Country and Regional teams Andrew advises on the disposal and acquisition or rural assets including country houses, equestrian property, farms and estates and development opportunities. Andrew is involved locally with a number of Associations and Committees including being the current Chairman of the On Farm Competitions for Newbury & District Agricultural Society.
David is a Partner based in the Taunton office who advises clients throughout the South West of England on a wide range of rural property valuation and management issues. He has over 30 years’ experience, specialising in the buying and selling of farms and estates, rural estate management, valuations for taxation, loan security, matrimony and other purposes and on farm and estate diversification.
He is a RICS registered valuer and appointed valuer for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC).
David lives near Taunton, has a keen interest in country pursuits, sport generally and farms in his own right.
Kit has been working in the West Country as a Rural Agent and Auctioneer for over 35 years. He is a RICS registered valuer.
He specialises in rural agency across the South West, to include farms, estates, country houses, and development land.
In addition, Kit also carries out private client work, advising amongst other things on succession planning and the valuation of rural assets for a broad range of purposes.
Sam is an Associate, based in Harrogate and is responsible for the land and farm sales throughout the north of England. He also undertakes rural professional work including Valuations of all types of rural property and assets for a variety of purposes including secured lending, strategic planning and taxation and is also involved with landlord and tenant work. Away from the office, Sam is keen on all sports, in particular Rugby and skiing and is passionate about field sports and rural affairs.
John joined the firm in 2002 and is involved in a wide range of professional areas. He has particular expertise in valuations of farms and estates for lending and taxation purposes, agricultural landlord and tenant matters and advises landowners in relation to telecommunication sites. When the opportunity arises he is a keen auctioneer and is always prepared to conduct charity auctions. John was recently appointed as Honorary Secretary of the John Edgar Trust, a charity which runs a management development scheme for those in the farming and rural sector.
Christian is a Partner in the Rural Infrastructures team and is based at our Snow Hill office in Birmingham.
Simon has over 13 years of professional expertise advising both acquiring authorities and claimants from the public and private sectors across transport, infrastructure and regeneration schemes. Clients include Network Rail, Transport for London and Buckinghamshire County Council.
For those promoting powers, Simon has significant experience in all aspects including formulation, referencing production of CPO documents, objection management, and implementation of powers and negotiating claims. He is leading land and property teams on a number of significant projects across the country including East-West Rail Phase 2, AVTM Metrobus and Havering Housing Zone.
Simon has experience in valuation, claim negotiation and drafting scheme objections He has given evidence at CPO Inquiries and Hearings and has prepared expert evidence for the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber). Simon is a member of both the Compulsory Purchase Association and the National Infrastructure Planning Association and an RICS Registered Valuer.
Andy deals with all aspects of measured survey including Building Information Modelling (BIM) and flood risk assessment. He has extensive experience of drones and satellite technology for land classification and planning operations.
Hugh is an Associate Partner based in the North Wales office and is responsible for residential, land and farm sales across North Wales. He also heads up the regional farm sales team across North Wales and the border counties.
Hugh also undertakes a broad range of professional work including valuations of all types of rural properties for a range of purposes, Compulsory Purchase and utility advice, Glastir and Basic Payment Scheme advice, and landlord and tenant matters for agricultural, residential and commercial property. Hugh is an RICS Registered Valuer and an AMC agent.
Jack specialises in the sale and purchase of land farms and estates as well as working closely with our residential division to promote and maximise our country properties’ exposure across the eastern region.
Richard is based in Newbury where he advises clients throughout the region on rural matters but specialising in farm agency/buying and family farming structures where he is a trusted external advisor known for giving honest advise based upon his experience in the rural sector. He acts as a Trustee in a number of circumstances and is appreciated for the depth of his wide ranging knowledge of the whole property sector which he can bring to the table for the benefit of his long established client base. Richard has a keen interest in all sports and will always accept invitations to attend be it at a local racecourse football or rugby stadium. With a sound knowledge of the Lambourn Valley it is perhaps not surprising that horseracing is a particular favourite.
