Our land services

Rural property management

Rural property management

Whether a property has been in a family for generations or recently acquired, our approach is to understand your objectives – what you want to achieve.
Rural sales and acquisitions

Rural sales and acquisitions

Selling an estate, farm or bare land can be an exciting process. But estate sales can also be stressful and even overwhelming – especially if you’re parting with a property you’ve owned or lived in for years.
Farming and agribusiness

Farming and agribusiness

Carter Jonas’ farm consultancy team works with landowners and farmers of all sizes, throughout the country, and specialises in maximising potential from their businesses.
Leisure & diversification

Leisure & diversification

Carter Jonas specialises in the buying and selling of holiday cottages, holiday let businesses and leisure businesses in the South West and across the UK.
Rural land and business

Rural land and business

Our service is very personal. Through all our dealings we never lose sight of the individuality of our clients. Perhaps not surprisingly, some of the biggest landowners in the country have retained Carter Jonas for many years.

Natural capital

Natural capital

Natural capital – naturally occurring assets that provide a benefit to the environment or the population or the economy – is one of the hottest topics within the rural industry.
Compulsory purchase compensation

Compulsory purchase compensation

Compulsory purchase is probably the most draconian power available to the state against an ordinary citizen. We all enjoy the benefits of the infrastructure it provides, but, for those affected, the process is typically drawn out, uncertain and frequently life-changing.

Forestry, woodland & arboriculture

Forestry, woodland & arboriculture

Whilst woodland has always formed the core of many estates, its value has often been dictated by a number of, often competing, factors: sporting interests, commerciality, amenity or biodiversity.
Equestrian property

Equestrian property

Carter Jonas is well-placed to provide equestrian property agency and professional services, including management, valuation, building surveying and planning/development, across the breadth of England and Wales.
Farm grants and subsidies

Farm grants and subsidies

Farm support is changing throughout Europe with the next round of the Common Agricultural Policy due in 2023 introducing a new way of working to achieve nine objectives for social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Rural valuations

Rural valuations

At Carter Jonas, valuation is one of our core services and sits at the root of all property decision making.
Strategic reviews

Strategic reviews

The rural industry is in an era of monumental change, bringing with it both challenges and opportunities that will affect the way rural property can be structured and managed.
