Questions around Property Management:

There may be a number of reasons why you might choose to leave the management of your rental property to Carter Jonas – for example, because you are busy or live a long distance away. We can suggest a couple more reasons that are less obvious but just as important: statistically, tenants tend to stay longer in properties that are professionally managed, and often it is something that corporate tenants insist on.

We’ll make regular visits on your behalf and make sure minor maintenance issues don’t turn into major problems.

Our contractors are reliable and accredited, and usually provide free quotations depending on the scale of work.

We will provide important advice on the latest statutory requirements.

We’ll negotiate deposit deductions with your tenants, saving you the hassle. We’ll also assess dilapidation claims and deal with any disputes.

Carter Jonas is regulated by RICS, which funds a client money protection scheme. Clients, who entrust money to firms regulated by RICS, are protected in the unlikely event that the money is mishandled:

We can offer emergency cover for your tenants, so you don’t have to.

We can liaise with utility companies on your behalf.

Throughout the duration of the tenancy, we will stay in close contact with you, conducting regular inspections on your behalf and providing you with written reports. We will visit your property at least twice a year. And, of course, we will deal with serving notices and advise you on any legal aspect relating to the tenancy and your obligations as a landlord.

If your property is ever left empty, we can also provide a vacant property management service, to ensure it remains safe and in good condition while it is unoccupied.
