I can provide advice on:

Provision of full property support services across the operational and investment estates of Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) including all transactional and landlord/tenant matters. We deploy staff based within our client offices as part of our delivery model.

BCC retains a small asset management team to manage all Council property as a corporate resource. Carter Jonas is instructed to advise and act on BCC’s behalf in relation to its property estate. At any one time there is likely to be 60 estate management and transactional cases being delivered.

We provide valuation, planning, marketing and disposal advices for sites and properties considered surplus to the operational needs of the Council. If properties or land are considered a long-term prospect for generating a capital receipt, advice is provided on options for the property or land in the short term to medium term to generate revenue.

BCC has a large education estate comprising school sites, each with a possibility of other Council Services being delivered from them. Where third parties occupy any part of the Council’s property, we provide landlord and tenant advice and are instructed to negotiate lease or licences where appropriate.

We also advise and negotiate the terms of transfer of land and buildings when a school converts to Academy status.
