Stephen Courcier and Emma Cruickshank have joined the Harrogate office to help handle the increasing workload.

Emma is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and previously worked for Spawforths in Leeds following her graduation from Newcastle University in 2006. Emma hails from the North East and completed her undergraduate degree at Leeds University before undertaking her Masters at Newcastle University.

She said: “Carter Jonas is an ambitious company with a great reputation and big plans for the future. I have really enjoyed my career to date, I love running my own projects and I am optimistic that the next few years will see a big turn around in the housing market and I want to be at the forefront of that.”

Stephen is also a member of the RTPI and has made his first move in to the private sector, having previously worked for Selby Council and most recently Wakefield Council.

He said: “I have worked exclusively in Yorkshire and I admire the progressive and ambitious nature of its people, but also their respect for its history, and I hope to be able to incorporate that in to my work. Carter Jonas is one of the leading agencies in Yorkshire and I am delighted to be on board.”

David Boulton, partner in Carter Jonas’ planning division in Harrogate said: “We’re pleased to welcome Stephen and Emma to Carter Jonas. Both are young and ambitious with impressive track records and will make a positive difference to the work we do for our clients.”
