Carter Jonas, is expanding its operations in Leeds and Birmingham taking nearly 6,000 sq. ft. of additional space in the cities as the firm extends its geographic reach across the UK.

In Leeds, Carter Jonas has relocated its teams working within the firms commercial, infrastructure and energy and planning and development teams, to Nine Bond Court in the centre of the city’s commercial district. The move is part of the firm’s strategy to enhance its commercial operations in Leeds and the surrounding region. The team relocated to the 4,500 sq. ft. office last month, following a comprehensive refurbishment of the open plan, Grade A accommodation.

In Birmingham, Carter Jonas has agreed to lease an additional 1,300 sq. ft. of space at its current location, 2 Snowhill. The firm opened its first office in the city in September last year following the progression of a number of flagship infrastructure projects in Birmingham, working with HS2 and Network Rail. Over the past 12 months the team has more than doubled, increasing in size to over 30 people. The office now accommodates infrastructure and energy, mapping and GIS and contract management teams.

Mark Granger, Chief Executive, Carter Jonas, said: “We are involved with a strong pipeline of large-scale development and regeneration projects in and around Leeds and Birmingham. This has required an expansion of our capacity and capabilities to meet growing demand, which has resulted in us enhancing our presence in both cities.

“More broadly, these expansions are the latest in a number of significant relocations for Carter Jonas. Within the last eight months we moved both our Cambridge and Bath professional services teams to larger premises, as well as opening three new offices in Taunton, Truro and Marlborough. We are committed to investing in our strong national network and intend to further increase our exposure in key regional towns and cities to meet the needs of our clients.”

This development represents part of Carter Jonas’ long-term plan to expand its business, which has grown by 58 per cent in the last four years. Carter Jonas provides its clients with a wide range of property expertise in the commercial, planning and development, residential and rural sectors and is committed to delivering the highest standard of service to all its clients.
